You can also call this dish "shrimp toast." It's split bread topped with seasoned shrimp mince, then covered in sesame seeds and fried. You can make this as a hot snack for a party, game night, or as a dinner starter. It's a healthy meal when I serve it with a side salad.

Fresh prawns, green onion, ginger, garlic, lime juice, egg white, coriander, soy sauce, white pepper powder, salt, and sesame seeds are what you'll need to make this prawn toast. These toasts are golden and crispy because I shallow-fried them. You can bake them, air fry them, or deep fry them.



What equipment do you need to make this prawn toast?

I used a food blender to make the prawn mince; it helps cut everything into a fine paste. You can also use a grinder, or a sharp knife can be used to cut it up very small. To make triangles out of the toast, we need a bread knife. Also, we need a big pan to fry the toast. I like to use a wire rack to drain the extra oil.

Can you make this with any mince?

This recipe works well with chicken, turkey, and pork mince. It worked for me with a red meat mix.


How to make these prawn toasts?

Place the green onions, ginger, and garlic in a food processor and blend them until they are rough. Put in the egg white, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, parsley, and fresh prawns. Blend it again. Let's get the bread and oil ready once the paste is smooth. Take the bread and cut it into pieces. Put oil in a big pan and heat it up. Spread out 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture on a piece of bread that has been cut into slices. Lay the bread with the prawn mince side up on it. Press it into the sesame seeds and press it down with your hands to keep it in place. Spread the rest of the mixture over the bread. Put the bread or seed side down in the oil and fry. It should be cooked for two to three minutes with the shrimp side down until it turns golden and is fully cooked. Turn it over and cook for 30 seconds on the bread side until it's golden and crispy.



How to cook these prawn toasts?

As long as you don't let the bread side cook for too long, the prawn side will be done in two to three minutes in shallow oil. If you deep fry them, these toasts will take two minutes all together. If you fry these toasts in a pan, the prawn side will take 3–4 minutes and the bread side will take 1 minute. If you want to bake them, put them on a baking sheet and heat the oven to 180℃. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. You can air fry these toasts at 180℃ for 7 to 9 minutes.

Storing and serving these prawn toasts?

 You have to serve these toasts hot after making them. For up to a day, I like to put these toasts together and store them in the fridge in a container that keeps air out. With lime wedges, soy sauce, and sweet chili sauce, these taste best when they're hot.
